Ticking/crackling loose?? SOUND....
I've noticed that when I release the throttle from a fairly high rpm, there is this sound coming from the front end.
It sounds like something vibrating, something loose. I checked the entire area over and over , the only things loose were the front plastic fork guards and the small white plastic inserts that help guide the cables. I tightened both but no change.
It almost sounds like there is something caught in the spokes, only sounds upon decelleration when I let go of the throttle, never upon acceleration. It must be loud too cuz when I pass a truck or go under a tunnel, I hear it.
Anyone else hear this sound??
184 miles on bike and already have a flat and this sound??????
May have to get back to dealer......................

Are your forks compressing much? Is your brake line free of any obstructions?
At one point I had my GPS mounted in such a way that the brake like would hit the bottom of it when the front forks compressed, which caused it to flex in the middle and rub up against the tire. Make sure your brake line is clear and free of any objstructions when your forks compress.

I think I read someplace of folks reporting "loose spokes" on their wheels. Maybe make sure that you don't have something like that going on??? You don't have many miles though...just a thought...

Are you sure that it's not your speedo cable sliding back and forth in the guide ring? Mine makes a certain kind of noise when the forks compress.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I sometimes hear like a "jingling" up near the front...
Since I have two keys on my keyring, I thought it was the other key jingling around on the top triple clamp, but that's not actually it.
It happens during a certain mid-range RPM band and it's like a metallic vibration / jingle (like a key bouncing ever so slightly on the triple clamp, but not).
Makes me think top end parts (KACR???[&:])

yean Kawi, that's kinda the sound I hear too!! Doubt it's a motor sound since I have only 184 miles on it.
I tightened those white plastic guide things for both the speedo and brake, just take a large wrench and sqeeze it so that it's not exactly round anymore. That did not help. NOTHING else is loose, I've shaken and twisted every loose object on the front end--nothing.
Kawi, I hear it up front by the forks and light shroud, if I lift my head over and in front of the bars while riding, I hear it.
I dunno what to think at this point.........

I have the exact same noise. I would describe it as two pennies or keys vibrating. I hear it most when i am doing about 25-30. It wont do it on command so its hard to take to the shop and show them the noise. Ive since invested in some helmet speakers and now the little noises dont bother me.
