Thumbs up to Bill Blue + Sudco out of 35mm FCR's

After researching and chatting with a multitude of people on the subject. the best carb for my needs was gonna be an FCR 35mm carb. I ordered one through Bill Blue (great guy who contacted Sudco for the carb) but found out they are back ordered and would take over a month to arrive. So if you are eyeing a FCR 35mm be prepared to wait a bit. Since I'm back to Thailand shortly that ruled that option out.
My second choice is a Mikuni pumper (33mm) bored out to 34mm. I talked to Bill about boring to 35mm (what I really wanted)and guess what? He said he'd give it go on a spare carb he had lying around. This I think speaks volumnes about Bill. Where else could you ask an off the wall question and have a guy offer up his inventory to do some R and D for you??? Right then and there I decided I would make my purchase through Bill no matter what I ordered. Turns out the 35mm borecreated some instability in the slide, though he said it worked fine on his bike (KLX 250) and pulledhard from 6500 RPM's. The guy bored out the carb and bolted it up to his bike for some testing. Talk about customer service and going above and beyond!!! Don't you wish other aftermarket suppliers had that attitude?
Anyway a 34MM Mikuni pumper will end up going on my bike KLX 250 w/a 300 jug. When I get it bolted together I'll let you know the pros and cons.
Once again if anybody is considering work I highly recommend supporting Bill Blue.

Sounds like the same sort of thing that delayed my FCR from FSW last summer. Jerry said it was back-ordered like that and would be a while, and it was. Glad to see Bill providing the excellent support of our bike. I've heard nothing but good things about Bill.

I just ordered a TM33 and will be sending it to Bill for the increased bore size and adapters. It will be a few weeks and will also post back when installed. Bill sounds like a stand up guy and from what I've read here, feel pretty comfortable having him do the work.
