RE: throwing in the towl
The bike ran on alcohol and had nitrous, it made 178 at the rear wheel without the spray I really don't care if you believe it or not it is what it is. And furthermore this was a track bike only that raced in sprint races under 25 laps it also had had every wiz bang part that was custom made at the time on it it still tracked very well and frame specs were not that of a fzr 1000 but of the yzf 750 that no one had it was the 1000 motor in this chassis.
As far as our young friend buy what you'd like but there is more than straight line performance to motorcycle riding and racing. Even though some members live and die about magazine #'s.

I never raced WERA but I still ran my '90 zx7 whichbosted a stock 112hp. I then massaged the top end some to stay within superstock regs and never dyno'd this ride, but all I know is that at the top of 5th at Portland, was radared at 156mph. Never could keep up with the muzzy crew (chandler or russell) nor a few of the other fast locals there. Still had a good time though.
Hokie- I'd sport a 250 ninja. Although I would have to rework the suspension, tires, etc to meet my needs just like any other ride out there.

Nothing against the 250 but why pay the $ to trade or sell within a yr because of boredom,I had an ex500 and was very happy at first but within a month I wanted bigger. I love my little KLX but will have something with more nutz to take out next spring. The klx isn't going anywhere either, just going to have it for fun
