For those who think the klx is hard...
well i got my new tach cable, and im waiting on the valve cover gasket and decided to take it off... So here, who ever thinks the klx valve checking/adjusting is hard.....

You should try a Honda CBX 6 cyl I did the first one that was delivered to the dealer I did the 600 mile service the cams were in 3 pcs as I remember.....24 valves.... At least the hondas you don't have to pull the cams out like the KLX and all the older Kals all had shim under the bucket
I think I did that bike in 1980 or so......You will have fun with that Honda.....people used to strip out the valve cover bolt holes all the time those rubber seals on those need replaced as they get old they will leak big time

Yea the first time i took the klx valve cover off i was like.... ahhh.... this bike.. its like wow.... thats crazy. i sure hope i dont strip any bolt holes.... is there a good way to seal the bolts off bad bear?

You have to Heli-coil one if you do strip it.I had to do quite a few Honda heads so far with the heli-coil...not my fault as they were already stripped but it was my side work repairs.It's easy to do.Just use some well placed rags to keep stuff out of the motor and your fine.

Ive never used heli coil's, the bolt that holds the tach cable in the valve cover is stripped, and it was when i got it, so maybe ill learn with that bolt....
