yea, im sure its noticable with work boots/hiking boots..... but the steel shank mx boots cant tell..... Im always in the trees.. lol.... if it were not for my thor boots i might have broke my leg last ride, my shin bone will never be the same. lol... laid on the ground a good 20 mins....

 

The right gear is a definite must.

 

I'm not going to lie, I'm not well educated or experienced with MX. But IMO, it would be more the rider than the bike they ride that helps them win a race. I could ride the best MX/enduro bike there is, but I know that there could be likely a good driver that could beat me on a crf50.
a good rider just uses whatever they can to their advantage to race faster, such as suspension, or footpegs. correct?

 

IMHO, I'm not a fan of these pegs from the pics.

They are shorter; the factory ones are longer.

I'd rather have longer/skinnier than shorter/fatter any day of the week.

If they work for you, great. However, I don't think they're for me!

just because i'm curios........... i see over on thumper talk that 09klxbakagain( or whatever the hell you call yourself now) is trying to sell his bike for $4750.00. why buy pegs for a bike your trying to unload for an amount you'll never see?? lmao

 

They don't look very grippy. You could probably help those pegs out a lot by filing the points sharp.

 

yeah, that's me. why? because I can, you interested? I never thought I'd get $4200 out of my '06 either back in the spring of '07, but I did. I doubt it will sell but if it does, I'll get something different. I don't anticipate it selling so I am planning on keeping it, but hey, if it does then that's okay and I'll save some money over winter.

oh, and the pegs? because they were $22 shipped. no brainer imo on the pegs and if it does sell, one of your buds on here will give me back my $20 for them.

oh, the pegs are the same length as stock to whoever said they weren't. They're the same exact dimensions lengthwise, just around 2" wider. Logic says the sane human would want something wider to stand on, but that's just what I think, and I'm not sane. hehe

 

if you can use some needle nose pliers, then you can swap them out. just remove a little cotter pin, pull the mount peg out. install new footpeg, put mount peg back thru footpeg hole and reinstall the cotter pin and bend it back to locking position. done.
