Used bike prices really suck. I recently sold a bike and got 1500 less than what I wanted. Mods or no mods you will probably get between 3200 and 3500. JMO of course and I hope you get more or what you want.
Let us know how it goes and good luck.

RE: thinking about selling
someone is obsessed with IOWAGUY!
anyways, ending up getting $4200 wasn't even thought of when this thread was originated. I think I did pretty good, don't you- I-I-Iowaguylover? I think that's a record for what anyone has gotten for a used one on here that they've sold. Same philosophy today; if someone wants to buy the DRZ, I'll sell it. But just like back then, I don't have to sell the machine. After laying my eyes on it tonight after the softball game, it's so darn perty and is begging for some dirt wheels/tires. And they've just mowed my riding area.

Hey IG, You are becoming a bit of an Icon around here. I usually stick with the technical stuff but have read enough of this BS that I decided to chime in. Bashing you seems like the popular thing to do but as far as I'm concerned I'd rather hear what's on someones mind than sit around wondering what some sneaky little back stabbing bastard is thinking. Freedom of choice/speech does not mean that you have to complain about everything that bugs you. If you don't like the show just change the channel and shut the f*ck up.
Please keep posting what you think and if I don't agree with your opinionI'll click on another thread and remain quite content. For those of you that can't seem to get past this, keep posting insults and I'll skip over your comments just as easily.
This is a great forum and I hold many of the members in respect, including Iowaguy. I will continue reading the info here as long as it serves my needs but it looks like before long there will not be a reason to waste more ofmy time here.

RE: thinking about selling
Johnny-
I see you're in Lincoln. I have a friend who roadraces around the midwest. He has a race there sometime this summer, already raced there once this year. Have you been there? I'm thinking of going there to watch.
As far as the forum goes, sometimes my explicitly honest comments bother people. If you do the research, it's usually someone else who insults me first that I have to defend myself. It all boils down to me making a comment about the KLX or a mod, and then someone else turning it into a personal insult against me. Not all the time, but most of the time.I guess some just can't get enough. I mean, going back and digging this thread up is a perfect example. But really, it makes me look good. I sold my KLX for $200 more than I had originally hoped for when I started this thread. It still baffles me how some people are obsessed with trying to bring me down, I mean WHO CARES if I sell whatever. It's my bike. I'm just making conversation like everyone else does around here. Utterly flabbergasting when really, there isn't anything there. I'm just a name, with words and opinions. I'm not even real. But as I edit this, there are three other members reading this 6 month old thread.

There are a couple of oval dirt tracks around that race Sprints, IMCA modifieds ad a couple other classes. One of the car shows on Spike TV actually did a special on one of the tracks, featuring a local driver. I don't get out to the races much any more but always a good time so let me know if you are heading here.
I'm riding to Souix City this afternoon for a weekend bike rally taking as many twisty roads as we can find along the river. It's called Awsome Bike Nights and sounds like things can get a little crazy up there. I've managed to rack up over 4,000 bike milesalready this year and have most of the summer to go. Still have Sturgis and starting to talk about an *** burner to the Grand Canyon.
My recommendation to everyone that reads this post is to promptly click Start, select shut down, then get out and ride.

Great point....get out and install the 2 Bros slip on that came last week, then ride! Got tired of waiting for Muzzy, found the 2 Bors on eBay. Though it seems I paid more than the post from today suggests, no matter - it's here!
