Thank God that Kawasaki has made the new klx better!

Save yourself the hassle and just buy a vapor for 2 reasons.
1 The Vapor is cheaper! I like cheaper
2 I think the speedo is different on the new bikes.
The Vapor does everything the new gauge does.

I've got the Vapor on my 06.
It's OK, but I like my analog sweeping gauges (one of the reasons I went 07 vs 09 or 10).
Functionality wise the vapor works great and does everything plus more of stock gauges.
Kind of a pain to hook up though:
Wire up 12v (optional, but you will eat through CR232 batteries quickly).
Insert temp sensor on outgoing water hose.
Wire up temp sensor
Put magnet on from wheel
Put sensor on left fork, and run wire to handle bar.
Wire up tach sensor.
Measure out front wheel circumfrence (sp?) and program in computer.
Put in cylinder/stroke details into computer.
Program in green/orange/red RPM ranges
Program in high-temperature warning level
Done.
