Texas ride report 04/21/07
Vurtle and I loaded up the bikes and trucked them out to a great riding area about an hour or two East of our town. The weather was partly cloudy, gusty winds and the temp was in the high 70's. A great day for getting some tight woods riding in. Here's a few pics.
I caught Vurtle doing some strange pre-ride ritual or something. Not sure what's he's doing. What were you doing, Wes?
Vurtle ripping up a incline.
Vurtle coming down a really steep hill. Of course it's always steeper than the camera shows it.
Me headed deeper into the woods.
This little water crossing looked easy enough. What we didn't know is that the quads had dug a three foot deep hole right at the shoreline. At this point, Vurtle had his bike out of the hole and up on shore. I was a big help by taking pictures and shouting general encourgement. [8D]
Vurtle demonstrating the all new, Kawasaki 250 River Dredger.
I figured I better put the camera away and go help at this point. I sand-parked my bike and waded in. The sand was like quicksand under the water. Our boots would just sink lower and lower into the sand if we stood still.
Taking a breather in the tight stuff...
Talk about helmet hair!
Both our bikes kept getting sleepy today. Here's Vurtle's taking a little nap on the trail. I had my share of get offs too, but being the only guy with a camera, you wont see mine.
GPS tracks for the day.
No major damage to riders or bikes. I did bend my shift lever in to where I couldn't shift up at all. Vurtle just bent it back into shape for me and we motored on.

Oh and I like the hood paint scheme on that truck. Very cool.
