Hello Graham.

I agree that the stock settings are too rich. From 125km/l to 85km/l is completely unacceptable, even with a big bore.

Here are my settings:

Stock settings: 2 - 2 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 4.5 - 4.5
Currently using: 1.5 - 1 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 8 - 4.5

You said you used a different GB setting. I would think that the GB setting is the only one that I cant change? Since it is set to come on at idle? Will the bike even start up without extra fuel at idle?

Such a shame that you dont remember your setting :P

Another update: Finished my second tank with the new settings, drove HARD and got about 105km before I needed to refuel. Better, but still not ideal. Im going to try and change RB to 8 too and see what happens.

Hi Nikolaj
I set the acceleration to come in at 8, did not like the lack of power, so came back down to 7.5. Rode out 1/2 tank then set the full throttle setting to 7.5 as well for the rest of the tank. Huge improvement in gas mileage. 145 km from full to warning light. Used 6.2 litres for the 145. Improvement from 110 to 145. ( not accurate as I am running a motard front rim without speedo healer. My indicated top speed is 165 km/h and I am sure that it is an actual 135 or thereabouts.) But bottom line is, yes by retarding where acceleration and full throttle fuel kicks in, huge gains in fuel efficiency are noted. Now I will do as you and move backwards from 7.5 and see how power and economy are affected.

Are you still using stock settings on Green and Green-blue?
Was there a big power difference between 7.5 and 8 on accell/full throttle?

Im currently running 1.5 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 8 - 8.
Today I think I will go 1.5 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 7.5 - 8.
Last run saw 20.2 km/l

Still feels suboptimal, but I cant really lean it out any further up top, which makes me think that Green and Green-Blue settings might also be off.

Last tank aw 19.5 km/l - again fairly hard riding.

Today I turned down Green from 1.5 to 1. Switchpoint remains the same...Only rode a few kilometers this way, but seems to be working fine. Hopefully that will improve my milage even further. Id like to atleast get between 20 and 25 km/l.

I am now running 1 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 0.5 - 8 - 8.
Waiting to see what that does to my milage before I start turning yellow/red down again. I try to only change one thing at a time and then ride a full tank to gauge milage.

I too, could definietly feel myself losing power after setting accelleration and full throttle to 8, but I plan on turning it down again later when I get close to optimal milage.

Considering how far away I am from from standard settings on the EJK, I am beginning to think it was not made for a 292cc big bore as they say, but for the 331cc big bore. Otherwise their testing is pretty terrible. From 25km/l to 17km/l is pretty terrible for only a 43cc increase in displacement.

I am way richer than you, as well as the recommended base settings. Green is at 3.5, Yellow at 2 ( recommended ) Red I am up at 1.5. My switch points are at 0.5, 7 and 7.
My bike is running better than it ever has, but I am not positive that it is correct. Most of my riding is either up or down twisty mountain roads. Coastal cruising on the flats offers only limited areas where I can rev it out before the next corner or death drop into the ocean. So hard acceleration up and down the gears is where I am at, and it seems to be revving clean, smooth and pulling hard with no flat spots, surges or bogging. She behaves well at leisurely moderate speed cruising on the flats and city traffic is no problem. Exhaust temp is normal.
If I take it WOT on freeway, it pulls hard up to 9000, but if I close off the gas at high speed and wind it on again, it feels hesitant and needs WOT. Will not cruise at high speed on say 1/4 or 1/2 throttle. Not sure what that is all about.

Just finished a test today. 63 miles on a gallon of gas, running about 40 MPH, at about 5000 ft above sea level.
