Default tank vents

I've been looking into lightening the klx. The fuel tank has 3 vent lines under the tank.

ONe goes to where the carb vent lines terminate. The other 2 hook up to the vapor canister,no mention in any posts what should be done when removing that item.

Should the 2 vents be blocked off? Or since they might cause vapor lock...

Go plastic tank.
Problem solved.

Your venting sounds way different to mine. (maybe the 09 is greener?)
I had 2 long rubber hoses that ran down along with the other carb vents.
They weren't connected too anything.
I had no Idea what they did as they seemed way over the top to be just tank vents.

But with the Clarke tank, they were not needed.

If it is a 2009, it may have CA emissions so one would go to the charcoal canister. But to be honest, looking to save weight by removing a little rubber hose is clearly not the way to go about it, you would save more weight by taking a dump before you took a ride, seriously....
