Switching to synthetic?

I'm not sure why people are still contaminating their oil systems with grease to install that stupid spring when all you have to do is take a pair of needle-nose pliers and tweak the end of the spring until it fits tight, it takes all of 10 seconds and then you never have to monkey with it again.

I switched to Repsol 4T Racing synthetic 10W50 at 900 miles, the bike doesn't use any oil and runs great now with over 6,000 miles on the meter (still a pup).

I have never been a fan of blended synthetic oils, they normally are formulated with such a low percentage of synthetic base stock that I'm not sure there are any benefits.

IMHO, Changing the oil often often is the best way to get the most out of your engine, and a high quality synthetic oil is the icing on the cake.
