Very tempting... Many of us KLX250S riders bought the bike because it can be tagged. It's a shame that most of us are riding bikes we wouldn't have othewise chosen had it not been for government so drastically limiting our options.

I think there are plenty of plated options that are in the RMZ450 performance zone.
WRF, CRF, KTM, Berg, Husky etc are all high performance 450 street legal dirt bikes.
Even the KLX450 is plated here.
Suzuki are now the odd one out in the 450 class.
There is plenty on offer in the 250 class as well from the above brands.
Husky make a 310 and KTM a 400 to give us even more choice.
Our KLX is what it is.
And I'm happy.

I over here you have to add a number of item to get a plate for the WR and the CRX. Only the KTM and the Husky are ready to go without a hassel. In some states it's becoming really difficult if not impossble to plate an off road bike. As the old saying goes I love my country but I fear my government.

I guess we are spoilt here in Aus.
Most "enduro" bikes are road registrable in all states out of the crate.
The exception will be the new Suzuki RMX450Z

IMO that will kill sales as it seriously restricts where off road you can legally ride it.
The odd thing is that I always thought Australian standards for getting a bike legal on the road were quite tough.
But without it, its not much use as a trail bike so you might as well get an MX bike.

Why?
It seems harder to make 2 or more versions than 1.
But, Baja to the rescue.
