Suzuki TU250x

I wanted one of those for about 3- years but it's a 49-state bike and not available here in California. After the '12 model came out still 49-state I changed gears and bought the KLX instead. I'm glad I did but still think the retro styling of the TU250 is cool.

just did some reading about this tu250x...fuel injected single...air cooled 5 speed....seems like the perfect commute bike...3.2 gallon tank and roughly 70 mpg...fi and cheap price...if it's transportation you want, this seems like a good bike...

On paper it looks like a neat commuter. I have read lots of folks getting 80+ MPG. I believe it is possible with the FI and little 250. On par with the CBR250r.
I doubt quality is steller but it seems like people are getting some mileage out if them already and having a good time. It looks perfect to put my kids on and get a few miles of fun with them too. The KLX is kind of tall for that even though I have done it.
If a good used one comes up I just might give it a try.

Be cool if the made a high pipe scrambler version ? In person the big cylinder makes it bigger cc than 250, which brings to ind british singles, that's what make the bike for me.
For around town high mpg scooters are the hot setup IMO. You can do anything with them , ride em up the sidewalk and park in the storefront, etc, stuff like that. You get away with murder. Same stuff on a motorcycle and you get tickets and dirty looks. At least that's the way it is round here...
