I have ahd the same bad luck with adjusting the dampaning and rebound screws. I am just waiting for the money to send my front forks off.VFRPILOT did you also get your rear suspension modified? It seems to be alittle more adjustable.

Changed the rear spring on the rear. Didn't do anything with the valving but did make some changes in the settings. I agree the adjustments on the rear seem to be more noticable.

Gary,

You had John (of moto pro) swap out the rear spring but not the valve? Did you go to a higher spring rate than the stock spring rate of 5.8 kg/mm? If so, if you don't mind my asking, how much do you weigh? If you stuck with the 5.8 spring rate, but went with the moto pro spring instead, why?

I spoke with John last week and he's hooking me up with 0.44kg/mm fork springs, valves for the front and a valve for the rear shock. He recommended that I stick with the stock rear spring, unless I find later that the loaded and unloaded sag numbers don't come in on target. I'm averaging 195lbs. right now.

I'm also going to remove the Kouba lowering links and put the fork back to their stock positions based upon his advice as well. He said that the the lowering links screw up the suspension geometry and the proper way to lower the bike is through adding a travel reducing spacer in the shock.

Thanks.

Remove the link first, then try to set your sag.

After removing my lowering links I found the bike definitely handled better at a faster pace in the dirt. Previously it just felt nervous in the soft stuff, very unstable. Back to stock settings on the height and its much more planted, I just have to be conscious of where I stop so I can get a foot down solidly.

Changed the springs front and back. Moto-pro was a pleasure to deal with.
