I literally got likea dozene-mails over the weekend from people wanting to know more about my Supertrapp exhaust and if I had a sound clip - ever since I posted pics of it in the Picture Request thread. I couldn't do any wheelies because theyard was too wet, so I just rippedup the grass instead. My girlfriend was filming, and she didn't want to go out "on location" since it was only about 35 degrees.

 

sounds pretty loud.... and has a different note to it.

I guess maybe I should have talked while it was running. It's not loud at all until you get on it, and even then it's still quieter than most other pipes. The guys on quads around here run Big Guns and Akropovic's, and they're almost twice as loud as my pipe. But yes, it is louder than stock.

 

I had an IDS2 on another machine & I liked its noise level (& power gain). Very reasonable & much quieter than other open systems I ran across.

Nuh uh. They have a distinctive sound, but they're not very loud compared to other aftermarket systems.
