Nearly 2/3rds of the contiental United States has had a white Christmas. We here in the Washington D.C. area have had the biggest December snow storm in history. The schools have been closed since last Monday.

I love the snow 1 We got over 20" of snow last Sat/Sun. The KLX is tucked away in the garage getting ready for Mr. BB 351 kit! And the sleds are ready, Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it. . . . .well, you get the idea !!

Its been a weird start to winter this year...we got our first heavy snowfall warning back in early November so on went the snow tires...and we didn't get any of it yet. BUT REALLY I DON"T MIND! I did gas up the snowblower before Christmas and have it on stand-by cuz i figure when the snow hits, it's gonna hit hard and heavy and catch a lot of people of guard. It can't stay green forever. The pic above (my backyard) was from a snowstorm we got New Years Day 2009...it caught quite a few hung over people by surprise...lol...including my dad who waited too long to plow the driveway and got his four-wheeler and plow stuck in the driveway. I luckily had snowblowed my driveway around midnite new years eve and had to clear it again on New Years Day.

The weather here is normally just cold. Like in the 20's to maybe 10's *F at night and 40's to 50's in the day. But when the weather gets worse, it is usually freezing rain or sleet. Never really snow (which is rare, a 1 in 4 winter chance).

Alright, I'm getting cabin fever now. I have not left the house since Thursday. I noticed I'm drinking a lot more sodas and eating double than my normal. And since I'm bored, I've been getting my air rifles and firearms out for a cleaning. Not getting out or riding the KLX is getting to me. But I don't want to risk a wreck with the idiot drivers on the roads (witnessed a driver take out two brick mailboxes because of panic braking on ice).

I didn't realize it got that cold in OK.
It was sunny, and definitely nice enough here to go for a trail ride today.
If I didn't have to help my son with his car, I would have gone for a ride.

Just curious, do you remember a diner in Nanaimo called Flo's? I know it's no longer there as I looked for it last time I was visiting. If you do remember it, then you must remember their specialty. Big F&*%ing omelets with a one finger salute on the front of the menu.
