Default Strange Sound/Mechanical Problem

So there is a strange sound coming from the back wheel of my KLX. It sorta sounds like if you stuck a piece of paper in a fan. It occurs inconsistently, but is definitely more noticeable at higher speeds. I can't really notice a huge difference in performance.

My original thought was that it might be a bad wheel bearing, but am not 100% positive on this. Any thoughts on what might be going on, or if there is a good way to tell if it is a crappy bearing?

Don't know about a bearing. Check chain tension and possible rubbing on guide and swing arm slide.

Any chance you have it lowered? Or too much sag in rear suspension? And does it happen when hitting bumps with suspension compressed? Sounds like upper chain roller, have a look and see if it has grooves from the chain touching it.

Good call. Happens to me when carrying a passenger.

BTW what size tire you have on the back is how much air also

im still thinking your rubbing the guard

higher speeds your tire grows and if your tire is low on air pressure it would grow even taller
