Talking Stock tires did alright offroad

Hello. I've been lurking (and getting questions answered by doing this) for a while, but this is my first post. I've had a 250S for a little over a year now, and today was it's (and my) first proper off-road expedition. The light rain in Atlanta this morning gave the sandy spots just enough stickyness without turning everything into mud. Stock DOT tires kept me upright!

Here's a quick edit of our ~2 hours tooling around east of Atlanta:

Where did you ride at? I live south west of atl and usually ride at highland park and paradise offroad. Your tires would do alright at highland park because the terrain is pretty dry, hard packed, and rocky, but at paradise offroad you'd be screwed. Its all sand and kaolin so its slicker than hell. I went down hard a few times last weekend with an MT21 front tire an kenda K270 rear. Nice video btw. Hit me up if you ever want to ride, dual sport or offroad.

That looks like a good place to practice. If you get the chance, come on up to my neck of the woods and ride Beasley **** or Oakey Mtn. OHV areas. They get pretty technical and like the op mentioned, if it's been raining forget it-it gets slick as owl **** and making it up the 45 deg+ inclines is pretty much impossible. Good job and keep practicing-dirt riding makes for much better asphalt skills.

Heck yeah, looks like some good riding.

The KLX will serve you well, she might not be the best at any one thing but she can do just about everything pretty damn well

795.0pacecar: it's abandoned private property about 30 minutes east of downtown on I-20. Not something with a website, and probably should be shown in-person instead of posted on the internet Highland Park is on the list of places to go and after yesterday I'm a little more confident about going to a 'real' place. I just need to convince a few of my friends nearby that they need to get dirt bikes so carpooling will get a lot easer.

ol'klx-er: he semi-recently replaced his KTM (450?) with a Husqvarna TC250 and rides dirt quite a bit.
