Stock Horn and KLX300R racks
Hi all,
I have an odd request, where on the KLX250s is the stock horn located at?? It would be great if someone would post some pics.
Also does anyone know where I can buy a rack for a 2004 KLX300R?? I see a lot of pics of the 250s but I cannot find a pic of a rack on a 300R.
I am on the last parts of a DS kit install on my KLX300R and just need a lil help.
Thanks.

How do you like the Trailtech x2 headlight? I looked at them after smashing my stocker. I got the stocker rigged back up but may go aftermarket sometime soon. Is that the DOT version or the off road version. Easy to mount, aim etc>? Looks good on the bike.

Hey Dan,
I cannot give you a really good report on the X2 because I have not ridden that much at night with it sorry. This is the non-dot version but I think I can get it by the insp with out to much problem, I have it wired up as a high/low so that is no problem just no cut-off like a DOT headlight. I also have one of these lights on my KTM200. The light was extremely easy to mount, it has straps at the top and pins in the fender.
So is the horn mounted to the forks??

Here , I just went out and snapped a pic of it. It's actually mounted to a tab welded on the frame.
Here is a shot Arctra just posted in this thread on radiator guards https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...t=33374&page=2,
it kind of shows the location of the horn on the "09"s . Mounted to the frame still, but lower than earlier models.
I was thinking the same thing about getting the non DOT version of the x2. I don't have to worry about inspections here in IL. The more light the better.
Let me know what you think if you get to use it on the road at night.

Awesome! I just did a search and the maker of your radiator gaurds has a great pic! I have some fork brackets from my KLX forks that I am going to modify and mount the horn behind the headlight as much as possible.
Thanks for all of the help

+1 on the cycleracks. www.cycleracks.com Gives you a great place to carry stuff AND protects the side panels/rear turn signals at nap time. Also provides handles when it's time to get up and go again.
