Oh absolutely.. Regardless of the sophistication of the mods, get them to loan you the KLX300 silencer so you can "trial fit" it onto your MBomb.. The pipe sizes at the slip joint should not be the problem - being able to bolt it on is the big question..

Scored the KLX300R exhaust for only $20. It has a different end cap than what seems to come stock. The insides looked in tact from what I could see through the stinger. Will take end cap off for further inspection later.

In your other thread you mentioned something about aftermarket end caps on Ebay. Just tried searching using both KLX300R end cap and KLX250S end cap - zilch. Do you have a link to whatever it is you were thinking of?

Do you know if there is a difference in the FSW header size on the KLX300 vs KLX250? They have different options on the same header. Wondering if that has more to do with the pipe length....

Pipe length - yes.. Pipe dia. - no.. Our wisdom is that the 300 system uses a different length midpipe / header length than the 250 - so while the entire 300 system bolts on, mix-n-match is not possible.. I really suck for not already verifying all this with my KLX250S and my KLX300R... In my defense, they normally reside 50 miles apart...

I have the stock 250S header in my shop. May go ahead and grab a used 300R header from Ebay just to be sure. I'll later consider the FSW. Don't plan on selling my FMF setup, since I would use it if I'm out in the boonies.
