Are you Kidding me?
There is That big a difference from what is sold in this country?!?

If i give it more air (no snorkel)
and more gas (#132 main)
it wont need an exhaust mod to let it all out?

..You've sold me on the new sprocket and snorkel (or lack of one)

No. True. Your gov' has a likes to strangle bikes, especially for the Cal' market.
I fitted a pipe and now run a #138 main and #38 pilot as it became too lean with the new pipe.

Give it the gas it needs man.

Wrong gear my brother! I believe he is asking about your safety gear, like boots, helmet, jacket, gloves....

Like the visa card commercial "says dont ever leave home without it!"

I think that has to be the best suggested modification on this forum when it comes to answering which one first! You cant ride if your not alive! Stay safe

I know what he was talking about!
I was Trying to be clever!!

I've got some of that stuff, no special jacket or boots
Though the boots might be a good idea, ran a fallen tree over the other day
and the thing snapped as I rode over, sprung up, and caught my foot pretty good, I was lucky at least had my hiking boots on (and not my sneaker, ouch)

I figured the bike was built and shipped the same to Everyone
What a shame we get ripped off here in the USA
Though its good to know re-jetting isn't pushing the bike beyond what it was designed for, just the opposite it would seem!

I drilled out the stock muffler with a 3/4" drill bit, about 18" long. It made no difference in performance whatsoever. It did however make it sound more like a lawnmower with the muffler drilled out.
I considered cutting it open and tearing the guts out of it, but realized it was not worth the effort and just hunted for a deal. Found a 2 bros slip on Muffler here on the KF, for under $220.

I would suggest
1, throw out the air box cover and put on a good air filter, tear off the emission crap,
2, put on the 13t gear
3, rejet the carb
4, muffler when you can afford it
5, go for the big bore kit. ( and blame Cousin Larry)

remove air box lid
FMF Q4 full exhaust system

Really woke the bike up, but still nothing compared to the big bore kit..

So I'd start there, then when you can, do the big bore.
i'm wondering if the exhaust mod "ices the cake" or just makes it louder...
i too have an 06 250 and desire more low end as well....does this carb work apply with and without the exhaust or are the specs different without doing exhaust?
