STATOR ISSUE - No Voltage or Resistance
Has anyone ever seen this happen? I just got this 2012 with 481 miles. Basically off the showroom floor. Took it on my first ride (after being on the battery tender) and it was dead when I stopped for gas after about 15 mins. The headlight must drain this battery super fast. Nonetheless, I am getting no voltage or resistance on the stator at all. I am going to pull the cover tonight but has anyone ever experienced this?

Yes sir. I had it set to AC. I mean no resistance at all. Like the wires have been disconnected from inside the cover. I am not sure what is going on with this thing.

i have already replaced the battery. I'm checking the three yellow wires as the manual states. There is NO VOLTAGE coming from them. Therefore it cannot recharge a battery.

stator wires should have voltage and resistance. Read the manual under charging system.

If you are certain the readings your meter is indicating then it's time to pull the stator cover and inspect for obvious signs of failure/burning of the harness/coils. Based on the meter readings I suspect bad windings.

Did that last night. Has anyone ever seen this?? How does this happen? What keeps these wires from being torn out again? Is it missing a clip or anything?
