Red face Starts in the cold

Here ya go, Black Friday morning. Wanted to ride, but...... I did fire it up and you can see the smoke coming out of the tail pipe.

Its running, but stays on the truck unless it warms up a LOT.

Yep I drilled the choke jet.

I call BS...nice try though. Just sitting your lit cigarette in the tail pipe to make it look like it's running won't fool us. Heck, it's probably not even a cigarette...probably wacky weed.

What was your temp there...and where is there? Ours was about 25 at sunrise but it hits about 55 here in West Texas today.

Today I am in Cincinnati OH. I THOUGHT it would be warmer here than in western NY. Bike ended up going for a 1,000 mile ride in the back of my truck. Just trying to stretch the season.

Its in the low 30s right now.

13 degrees here in Rockford IL this morning. It was nearly 70 degrees Monday! As the cold front moved in, it actually caused a tornado on the east side of town Monday afternoon. Crazy weather.

Crazy. Mid November, we should have snow on the ground , not a tornado. You probably couldn't believe what you were seeing.

I have a success story too after drilling the starter jet, I believe I used the .018 size bit. Does it matter that it was my first start up after installing the 351 kit as well? Anyway, I was tickled that I got my bike back together with no extra pieces.

Well, the temp here in Utah was somewhere around 30 degrees the first time I started it up after the install. Turned over better than ever. I was one of those guys with perpetual starting problems, but not anymore. I have since started it up a couple more times and the temp here has been anywhere from 15 to 25 degrees and it starts up everytime and I have never needed to turn the gas off, lean the bike over, or any of that stuff. I am finally, for the moment, 100% happy with this bike.
