Dear RobG: YIKES! That has got to be very restricting to air flow. Early in my klx's life I spent some time trying to find all the restrictions that the bike came with. We all decided that the screen probably was not causing much restriction to air flow so I left it alone. Months latter I'm trying to find more power from 6000 rpm and up and I thought, at higher flow volumes the screen had to be a problem. I cut out the screen and cleaned up the edges of the screen frame. BIG difference at ALL rpm's.
