Sponginess..........there IS no sponginess. Not a trace. All of the braking power the master cylinder and the caliper can develop is delivered.

You can sign me up on the front and rear....let me know how I can pay you and when for it.Premo work ethic on that one and i like the routing and I also agree it is stiff enough that it shouldn't hit the spokes on full compression if it is installed the right way.one finger braking is the way to go!!! woohooo!!!!!

Bill I am dead keen on the front one but I'm wondering about the back one. Personally I find the rear brake difficult to control and it locks up with the lightest of touches with a wooden feel. My questions are

1. Did you find the stock rear brake easy to lock?

2. Did you find the stock rear had little feel or feedback?

3. If so does the s/s rear brake line help with the above?

P.S. nice job they look great

In answer to the routing & keeping the hose out of the wheel.
I routed the hose through the top first cutout on the fork protector guide this keeps it tucked in.

Deej,I got a shark fin for my bike to protect the rear rotor. I got it from Scotts Performance. The one I got is for the KLX300. I haven'tbolted right on yet, but the rear hub, axle, rotor, and caliper assemblies are the same for both the KLX300 and 250s, so I'm 99.99% sure it will work. You can get one and see pictures here: http://www.scottsperformance.com/pro...1d924ac13a4072

Man those things are SWEET!! But a little spendy, $139.00 But they do look good. Let us know if it fits, and maybe a few assembly pictures. Does it come with a longer axle? Here is a picture, man they have tons of stuff on that site.

I've also been looking at the Scotts Shark Fin. Rocky Mountain has them for $125.99 with free shipping.

No need for a longer axle. The rear axle fits through the caliper bracket, and the brackets acts as a spacer. All you need to do is replace the stock caliper bracket with the shark fin. It will look something like this when installed:
