Stainless or Carbon 2 brothers?
so im going to buy the 2 bros slip on but i cant decide whether or not to get the stainless steel or carbon fiber.
im in Canada so the prices are stacked
Carbon fiber: $790
Stainless steel: $540
and then, if i get the dealer to install it for me and do the rejetting, he's going to charge 200$ for labour plus tax.
whats your opinion on this? i should probably find a place to order from online and install it myself. but i wouldnt know where to start, e****ially when it comes to rejetting. does it come with a rejetting kit or do i have to buy one seperate? thanx in advance

Aloha, I just recieved the TBR Stainless Steel pipe. As you might read else where on here they forgot the "X-lite" ring, which means you can't attach the mid pipe to the tail pipe. I have already taken off the stock pipe and hung the TBR, it's look great but I haven't been able to run it without that ring (they're shipping it, should be in today). But it doesn't come with a jet kit, there are a tone of posts on here about all the different options. You don't HAVE to re-jet with the pipe, it will still work as is. This is the option I'm taking for a while, I'll let you know after the weekend how much improvement it gave.
I would say go for the SS, the carbon would be a waist unless you wanted to try to race the bike. And I doubt that's the case. I think the only differene is weight (and look, that carbon does look unreal though).
Oh and the pipe itself looks easy to install.

I know what my opinion is. Am I the only here who can see that this guy is considering spending $1000 on a slip-on muffler? You realize that is like 33% of your bike's current value, right? You also realize that it takes less than say, 5 mins to install a slip-on muffler right? Finally, you do realize that this is just a slip-on, and is not going to dramatically increase performance like a full system would, right? If you already know all this then hey, write the check. If you have no idea of what this encompasses, then I'd say do more research. A new BigGun EvoX full system is the class of the class for the KLX, and brand new is $390 in stainless steel. It will run circles around a 2-bros or any other poser slip-on pipe that really, just makes the bike noisier more than anything. My opinions is that this could quite possibly be the biggest waste of money I've ever heard of mentioned on this forum in the 1.5 years I've been a member. This isn't a knock against you, I'm just encouraging you to think about it literally.

now that is some real advice right there.....well see now im looking at this big gun and ya i think it has the bigger bang for my buck. pun intended.[8D].....big gun does deliver to canada unlike two brothers and from what i've read on here, they sound like a great company to deal with....no missing parts. soooo tell me, what do i need to know about full systems and installing them? also its Kawasaki KLX 250R/250S/300 Complete Exhaust System i should be looking at correct? is the silencer necessary? i want my bike to be loud....not quiet. im not worried about being pulled over for noise way up here in the great north.

yeah, that's the one you need. it comes with a silencer but you don't need the quiet insert. and yes, it really is just a couple bolts to install it. and the BigGun fits like a glove, as good as the oem unit. the Muzzy is a good pipe too, but I'd stay away from the rest mentioned here literally.these two systems have been around since the gitgo and they're nearly the same performance wise although the Muzzy does have some issues with fitment and the passenger pegs being in the way. it also isn't as tucked in at the end by the fender and it hangs lower and is a lot longer too. get the BG, and you'll be happy.
