Default Squeak in the Rear

Ok I got a squeakie sound when the rear wheel goes up & down on woopie areas. I used a bunch of spray silicone on all the movy areas in front of the rear wheel. I dont' think it has anything to do with the rear wheel as I just had a new tire put on and cleaned up everything back there.
I was thinking of pulling the swingarm bushing bolt and lubing it. It is a 2007 & never had any messing about down there. Or maybe it is the linkage? Any thoughts or comments?

Inspect and grease all the moving parts on the rear. Swingarm, linkage, etc. The factory wasn't very liberal with grease to begin with. It's time to do it, even if that isn't the squeaker.

You may have some worn out bearings.
There are quite a few needle bearings down there on the rear linkage. They only have simple dust/water seals, and it's pretty easy for contaminants to get in. It's a good idea to pull the swing arm off each season, at least , and clean and lube those bearings. The last time I did mine the bearings still looked ok but the hardened races they ride on were getting pitted right where the dust seals rode.
It's easy to pull the swing arm, just raise the bike and start unbolting stuff For bearings , you can get them online, eBay, motorcycle shops, but I would try a local industrial supply place first. We have a place called Motion Industries here that can get you any size bearing pretty cheap. just take the old ones in and they will measure them. Good luck, post up your results.
