Sprocket Sizing After Big Bore

Yep.
Ok, well really I just replaced the rusted and junk stock sprocket at the same time I rebuilt the motor and added the 351 kit, but I'm very happy with the way stock gearing works with the BB.

I'm not sure this is a question that applies in a general way. IMO it has more to do with how and where you ride...and even a bit of preference thrown in...as to what gearing is optimal instead of being based on the bigger bore. In my case I've gone lower in gearing in two steps...stock to 14/47, then 13/47...as I installed a bigger bore and then went to a larger pumper carb. I don't really care much how fast this bike will run on the highway as much as I care about how it runs in the lower gears in challenging off road conditions. But there you have it...it depends greatly on where you ride and how you're riding. I find it interesting that my current 13/47 is basically what a stock KLX300R has at 14/50.

Yip really depends on where you ride and how. I installed a 15 tooth front on my 300 and loved the way it increased the usable rev range, as the bike peaks at 8000 rpm. However the 15 tooth is difficult to use off road or on very steep and tight mountain passes, as the shift between 1 and 2 is at quite high speeds.
I installed a 331 kit last week, added Webcams which changed my powerband to peak at 8500 revs. Now I have gone back down to a 14 front and it feels a better compromise. I would prefer longer legs in 6 th gear, but prefer a lower 1St gear.
