Spongey rear brake

Spongey rear brake
I have a 2012 KLX250s. Got it this summer and didn't have much time to ride it. The rear brake was spongey. Meaning in my terms it seemed like it took a while to brake (This is coming from a KLR with braded lines). I have to use my front brake to much and I get the nose do e because I haven't gotten to upgrading the springs.
The rear brake was almost non existent. I bless both brakelines yesterday. It better then nothing but takes longer then I want to stop. Brakes pads are fairly new as well. Still a lot left.
Any good ways to adjust it or what I should do?

Something is not right. The rear brakes on the KLX250 are not known for being weak. You may want to try a reverse bleed, check pads and rotor for contamination, check for swollen areas or pinches in the brake line and replace if it looks questionable, and check master and slave cylinders for proper operation. Is the rotor thickness in spec?
