This is not a for sale post...but it is a heads up that I may be posting one soon. I do believe I'll likely be trading away my KLX for a, cough, cough, orange bike, that a coworker of mine has. (It's an '06 450EXC if you must know). The trade seems a more effective way to accomplish a lot of what I was planning for the KLX - making a better road servicable, hard core dirtbike.
Anyway, if my KLX does go, I'll be selling a few neat-o items that I've collected with intentions to upgrade the KLX. Again, they're not officially for sale yet - as I still might use them if the bike trade doesn't happen - but I figured I'd put them out here to get the ball rolling for if/when I can pull the trigger.
1. Mikuni TM36-68 pumper carb, used - but not by me. It previously lived on a Yamaha Warrior ATV. It needs an idle adjuster screw (a different setup used on the ATV).
2. Stroker, Inc. complete front and rear suspension - Stroker modified swingarm, Stroker linkage, Stoker KLX/KX hybrid shock, KX forks & triples, front brakes, etc. No wheels or rotors. Again it's all well used, but not by me; this stuff came off of a KLX300 that obviously had a chunk of change spent on it back in the day. Rear end will directly bolt on to a KLX250/300. Front end will require either a KX wheel, or minor fab work to make the KLX stuff work.
3. Black Acerbis 3.7 gal tank. This one is brand spanking new, still in the plastic bag from the factory.
OK, feel free to throw stones for even considering going orange...but please throw softly, I do still bleed green.
