While my brother was in the hospital he convinced me to go to his home and feed his 6ft python. First had to get a rat from pet store. He told me to stun the rat with a small hammer he had by the snakes cage and with a leather glove on, lower the rat into the cage and let the snake strike it--IN MY HAND!!! I think NOT! I hit the rat and by the time i lowered it through the hole in the cage it came to and grabbed the cage meanwhile here comes the hungry snake. I jammed the rat into the cage and slammed the lid down, the snake caught the rat in mid jump and had it wrapped up in a second. I stayed just long enough to watch the head disappear. I'll stick to dumping food in my dog's bowl thankyou!
