RE: Soon to be KLX250 owner with some questions
Im in the Novi/Northville area. I like Rosenau Powersports just because that place is sooo big but ya they are way over priced. Even though im 20 I may even take my dad with me because he is a salesman and seems to know how to deal with them and be able to get the best price... lets hope.
BTW that bike on ebay is a great deal!

RE: Soon to be KLX250 owner with some questions
Welcome to the forum. I ride an 06 and have enjoyed every minute. I'm in the DFW Texas area. I have about 1500 miles on it with probably 1300 of those off-road with lots of whoops, mud, sand, tight trails, racing, and the bike holds its own. Suspension is excellent and is much more comfy off road. It's essentially a dirt bike, albeit from 12 yo technology, turned into a streetbike.
It is short on power, but it is de-tuned at the factory from it's competitiontuned cousins. It is a typical 250cc, not intended for racing. This results in far less maintenance and engine rebuilds. It does wellin the city and at slower freeway speeds, and gets about 65 mpg or better. Turns outI'm about a 3 hr drive from a place that provides big bore kits. I got one, andnow it has perfect powermy type of riding.
It has several other features that add significant convenience and practicality besides being a dual sport. There are many otherDS available but the KLX-sunique.
For pricing, a good deal is about 4900 or less out the door.
Enjoy.
