Well fellas im gonna be back home in a couple weeks and theres a brand new kenda k270 and tire tools just waiting to be used. I cant wait. 2 months is a long time! hopefully roads will be clear enuff to do s6me riding. I dont trust myself in that slipperier than seal snot snow yet! ive be en trying to keep up to date here bu t cell service is dodgy at sea. Doin all this typing sux like a hoover as well. Wish me luck on my first tire change. I did save the good post someone put up a while back. Take 'er easy guys. Relic.

good luck with that. couple tips........... use A LOT of soapy water and 3 tire irons. Get that tire nice and warm before you try getting the bead over the rim. Cold tires are a bear to change. The last one I did wouldn't budge until I poured scalding hot water all around the side wall to loosen it up some.

Thanks for those tips lcp. Will keep them in mind. Should i use something to protect the rim? maybe some plastic tubing with a split in it. Im gonna try with 2 irons at first. Trying to simulate a trail repair in case situation arises. Might have to add extra tools to trail kit. Better to find out now than in a real situation.
