some goofing around pics
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last edited by lostnight; Today at 03:23 AM..Took some pics of my ride today using a compact tripod, and setting the camera for a 30 second delay, taking 10 pics at a time. Most got thrown out of course, but I did capture some sick shots of me getting some huge air. If you are afraid of heights, you better look away.

Then afterwards, some brewskies with my new best friends.....

Thanks! Perhaps I stayed at the bar a little too long, but I had fun. Had to push the bike home, but it's only a 2 minute walk.
No problem, green beer and Guinness tommorrow!
Ha ha, didn't even know those guys, but when I saw their hats, seemed like a good photo opproyunity. The guy with the antlers also had multi colored Christmas lights blinkinng on and off on his hat. Turns out they work for the Ramada Inn, close to University of Dayton, where some NCAA Tournament basketball games will be played this week. My team (Pitt) is playing there, and they said they might be able to get me tickets, and will call me if they do. So it pays to talk to people sometimes.
It is scary, people look like ants way up there. Oh wait, those were ants.

I had Wednesday off, it was a nice day. I hit the trails at Dayton Dirt Riders again. There was only one person there. It was Nick Fahringerer, a Factory rider for Husaberg. He is a pro racer in the National Enduro Series. He has a google-able name. His dad Carl runs the DDR.

Anyway, Nick is 4th in the standings. He was there testing his suspension. He would ride for a bit, take notes and do some tweaking (on the bike), and go ride some more. Dude was flying through the woods. He says he usually tests there on Wednesdays. There is a patch of roots entering one of the downhill sections that he jumps over, it looks pretty cool in person, couldn't quite capture is on camera, but I tried, here are a couple of shots.
.
I jokingly suggested he wear my jacket and helmet and try my bike over that so I could get a pic, he said ok. I told him I was just kidding. Seems like a good guy.
Here is a link to some videos where you can see him racing, good stuff. http://www.adrenalinevision.com/index.html
That happened on Wednesday, but the lostnite66 hit the trails again on Sunday, April 5th. And he took some pics. Yes, the LN is typing in the 3rd person. More goofing around stories and pics will be posted in a day or to, but now lostnite66 must get some sleep and prepare for working in crapulent weather tommorrow.
