Nope, you pay the underpaid 17 year old tech to "pass" your vehicle. Turn in the smog stuff to the DMV and no body knows the difference.

You can thank Obama administration for the proposed new laws. In moves to "protect the environment", they take large chunks of the economy hostage.

There is no reason currently to "bring it to PM". Throw your smog kits out! I did!
If there are "checks" like during inspection, just put the kit on and rejet for your test. Go home and return to whatever mod setup you like.

like our bikes put out to many emissions at 60 mpg... from the stock 70
