Slip On vs Full Exhaust

Slip On vs Full Exhaust
Slip On or Full Exhaust?
What is the difference?
Why get the full system when the slip-on is half the price (and the hassle to fit?).
What are the pro's and cons with the two... and can a novice fit on.
Cheers

Slip ons are good, but you are stuck with the stock head pipe and some say it doesnt flow that great, while full systems have a bigger diameter head pipe and probably flow better... If i were to do it again id get a slip on... but there were no slip ons at time of my exhaust purchase.

Full pipe is the way to go- If you have 300 the fourstrokeworks header will be a great help- I have a 250 and did the header 1st than a month or two later did the slip on.

In my opinion which is based on what I have read else where on the web, if you are planning on staying at 250cc the slipon is the better choice, if you plan on going to 300 or above the full pipe with larger header is the way to go. You have to remember that the head pipe is designed for the 250 and should work well on it, it was then carrried over to the 300 which most say it is too small for.

Dont do yourself or the bike an injustice, Get the full system. If you get a slip on you probably need to rejet anyway and with a slip on you will always be wondering "should i have gone the whole hog??"
I tell you what, get upto North Queensland and I will gladly let you ride my bike......(where are you anyway?)
