RE: Skidplate for KLX 250S
the small stock plate comes off and if i remember correctly theres 4 clamps, two up front two in the middle and the back two get threaded into the frame where the stock skid plate was. hope that helps on the info you were seeking. like ems said the utah city skid plate was made and designed and made just for our bike by a member on this site. I love it, is aluminm and strong deff saved my rad hoses. And for some kind of plates for the radiators might have to do some poking around on this site but last time i checked nobody made or found one that fits our bike.
** and if anyone does find/make/fit our radiator hope it is posted quite a few people looking for a little extra protection to it new oem radiators are on the pricy side.

I'm a little hesitant. It looks big and clunky, and likeit could snag onto alot of shat on the trails. Also didn't i read somewhere that it rattles quite a bit? I'm not dismissing it, but it just looks big and clunky.

I would think that something with the "wings" to protect the vulnerable bits would be a much better option. The glide plates certainly look slick but, I'm more concerned with a rock getting kicked up and clipping/cutting a radiator hose or some other bit and putting me out of action.
I get enough marble sized rocks in my car windshield to cause concern so, maybe I'm a little too cautious. However, good boots are in my very near term future. Riding pants and a chest protector are being considered as well.
