I am again speaking from an 06/07 frame of reference..not sure which bike you own. If you replace all of your incadescent turn signal bulbs on the 07/08 with LED's the load will be less, causing the bi-metalic flasher to flash way too fast (deforms less with less current causing it to close faster). There are documented cases of that coming from 06/07 owners in this forum, but that result was predictable anyway. If your led indicators come with load resistors, that's a different story, but I'm sure you're aware of that.

There are also documented posts of the current cross-feed through the indicator light (06/07, this forum).

I'm not sure if the 09 has a solid state flasher, but if it does, and you own an 09, you're probably good to go.

Hadn't thought of the LED's coming with load compensators. That's a possibility, maybe dealership guy bought lights that had it and didn't think of it. Personally, I'd rather do all the work to make it right, installing LED and not taking advantage of the power savings doesn't make much sense to me. Now I gotta figure out what kind of Diode's to use.
