Should I go back to stock pilot jet? need help

it was overly rich below 1/4 throttle? also I think my shifting has something to do with the noise.
I still have the issue of starting ...
( - starts every time cold,
- restarts while warm if I shut it off for 1 sec,
- hard restart if I try it within 2sec-1hour after shut off, takes like 3-5 cranks and starts right ups
- still has a few tiny drips 30 min after I park
- has some fuel left over in the throttle body )
these seem like a float problems but I checked the float height... so idk. maybe ill check the needle.
at this point Ive lost patience for the issue...just going to wait till I'm read to deal with it again.
...and every time I try to bring it to shop end up not because I feel I can prob fix the problem myself.

To check for leakage from the float needle, just hook up the tubing like you did to check fuel height. Leave the petcock open and wait awhile and recheck the fuel level. If the level increases, there is leakage past the float needle.
Set your pilot screw (idle mixture screw) for best idle with the engine warmed up. Don't be concerned with readjusting it for above idle.

EXACTLY! The float needle is supposed to shut off the fuel supply at a designated level. If the float needle and seat are leaking, the fuel will continue to trickle into the fuel bowl and increase the fuel height.

I menat isn't that the same test process ?
what is the difference? do I wait longer for fuel to increase?
can the float height test be different when the bike is on?

first of all I already have that manual ..
+I looked at it and I could not find the carb section.

I believe Brewster is saying the float needle may have a slow leak. Set up your tube test for a few hours.
I've never heard of doing the float check with the bike running.
