I got my clutch lever shortened "automatically" when I tipped over on a trail. Bark busters followed shortly there after, as did the hacksaw on the brake lever. Other than the bark busters, the cost was Zero.

I'm pretty sure the ***** are on the levers so the lever doesn't stab into you in a wreck.

I can't ride without a 2 finger clutch lever, pinky and ring need to be able to hold on without being smashed when you wanna cut your power.

Hacksaw and vice grips for a nicely bent curve lol.

Installed new levers from Wheeling. They are the same length as the stockers without *****. The ***** are a safety devise. If you have ever seen a rider with a clutch lever through his leg you might consider buying shorties. The brake lever is for three fingers and the clutch is for four. I am now in my 57th year of riding and racing. I wear a helmet, boots, gloves and goggles for safety. I want ***** on my levers for the same reason.

Which won't happen with bark busters on the bars.

I wouldn't run a female lever without the busters.
