Short Ride Report
Went out for about an hour tonight. I never realized it but I have a really good trail system only 2 minutes from my house. I posted some pictures of part of it a few days ago so tonight I figured I'd go out and take a few more.
Sorry for the poor quality. I used my cell phone (doubles as a "come save me" if I need it.)
The terrain is really rough. There is a huge mud pit about every 100 feet. I'm gaining more confidence in the bike the more more I go through. At first I tried to avoid it all and go around but that got too difficult. Then I started trying to ride along the edges but inevitably my rear, or god forbid my front tire would slide into the muck. After a while I just started going through it. The bike did surprisingly well, even with the stock tires. The mud pits range in length but none were longer than about 25 feet. The deepest they got were about up to the engine casing.
The mosquitos were miserable every time I tried to stop and take a picture. It was getting to be dusk and it was actually pretty dark when I was deep inside the woods. When I came back to the road there was still plenty of light.
I can't wait to download my gps tracks and see where I went on Google Earth.
Enjoy!

NICE pic's!!!! I've done the dualsport ride in N. Berwick before so I am a bit familiar with your terrain. I've actually done dualsport rides in all the N.E. states except for Vt.
How far up are you? There's a couple rides later in the summer, if you'd like I'll let you know when and where so maybe we can meet up for some riding.

Isn't Mt Blue out near the coast? I seem to remember flying over that area once in a while. Have fun. BTW, is the Mt. Blue State Park a good place to bring dirt bikes? I'm looking for a place to camp yet bring our bikes so we can ride during the day.

Here's an overview from Google Earth on the ride. On each end I ran into a stream that I can't figure out how to get across. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon.
On the way home, I found another trail that is not depicted here. It's on the right hand side and opens up to what looks like 50-60 acres.
