Gotta like KF! Go to bed with questions wake up with answers. Looks like TW-200 for the win. Just got to find one for a good deal and also find some lowering links. Or I think I could make my own with a little help from a machine shop.

Thanks everyone.

Sorry the only pics I have of her are naked and I said those were deleted

I still would like to know if the KLX250 sf could be lowered around 3-4"

Cheers Jim

I had been thinkinb of the Yamaha XT225.I have a 2007 model and its a great bike, and can get 90+ miles per gallon. But I believe it has a 31.9" seat heigth. The TW is a great idea. Its only a five speed, while the XT is a six.But i"ve read very good things about them. Check out this forum-its a good one for the TW:

Best of luck, Jon

Reading through this, I was also thinking TW200.
I rented one for a week last year, and put a pile of km's on it.
Very comfortable, very stable, and a blast to ride!

I like that trick of getting on the KTM 390. I ride with a short guy that does the same thing. Good thing that he is a great rider. If he gets off the trail, he just powers back on, through the small trees and whatever. You wouldn't want to stall on a hill.

We used to get our peddle bicycles going that way, in fact we still do. But I would not want to try it in a swamp.

Fourth on the T-Dub. Have one in my garage right now, belongs to a lady friend who tried the KLX and said no way. The TW has a low seat height, low center of gravity and just short of ATV tires. Nothing like it in the market. Lots of MC safety course owners use these bikes as trainers, because if you can't ride the TW you just can't ride.

Which doesn't mean it's not fun to ride - it is, in spades - will go just about anywhere you point it. My KLX will do that too, but sometimes I have to think about it for a minute. About my only complaints about the TW is a really short first gear, lack of a 6th gear, and rear drum brake. Someday I'll own a couple so that my non-riding friends can have a few sh**ts and giggles when they visit.

Good Luck with your choice.

TW I belive it will be. Now I just have to keep tabs on ebay for a while looking for one one the left coast. I now have the goal of landing both bikes here for less than $1000 over what a new KLX goes for here. So far I have $4523 in the KLX landed and they go for over $7K after fees and taxes here. & I got the Muzzy FCR and 330 :-)

Thanks again to everyone with their advise and experiance. Its kind of nice to hear from people that own & use things rather than just try and wade thru the hype.

Still really looking to find out two things though
1. What the seat height was on her Suzuki GS250SW
2. about how much the seat goes down with a rider on. if its an inch or more I'm pretty happy.
