How did we ever survive the 70's? LOL I always wear my work boots, and I always pull on the laces tight just to be sure. Who wears tennis shoes when riding? Do you not like your ankles?

Bah, I've put hundreds of the almost 1000 miles on my KLX with sandals. Not flippy floppies but sandals when it is in the 80s and 90s out riding on the street. Off-road I where full height rigid riding boots. On road, wear what you've got.

I worry about that fancy new guard actually causing trouble by trapping rocks, sticks, mud, and squirrel while off-road. Looks to be a non-dirt mod.

Yah ! The klx is basicaly 80% on the pavement and 20% on dirt or gravel road. There is still plenty of space beneath it to make sure stuff won't get stuck. Rock, sticks and squirrels...can't figure out how they will get in that spot !
