Default Shock Spring Replaced

Well I was sick over the last week or so, so I held off until today to do my shock spring swap out.

The 6.2kg/mm spring is a lot thicker than the stocker, and it looked to be about 1" longer as well.

Removal was easy thanks to some help I got from novasteve in a reply to another post of mine. (Thanks man!)

Getting the new spring installed was interesting due to the extra length, but I got it on there.

Re-installing the shock was a bit more of a PITA than I thought but I got it done.

I really like the action of the new spring. It makes the bike feel as if it's ready to take some nice tabletops now, lol

Hey, you get it set up right with suspension...it's all about how you ride. You develop stamina and skills, this bike can smoke a lot of people.

There is some video out there to demonstrate this...I can't remember...damn...

I'm usually pretty **** retentive about documenting my projects with pictures and I'd have documented the process of the fork spring swap out and shock spring swap out if my digital camera hadn't died on me earlier this summer.

I'm thinking of picking up a cheapie (sub $100) digital camera this weekend since my Jet Kit arrives today and my Exhaust and Air Filter arrives next week.

The bike is far more stiff, relatively speaking, than stock.

I still need to set my sag, but I can already tell a major difference.
