Default Shifting issues with my KLX

Sooo .....

This weekend when parking on a hill, I dropped my 09 KLX250s very lightly on its left side with me on it. On my ride home today, I noticed the shifting was acting strange. This was the first time I had ridden the bike sine the drop. It became difficult to shift up from 2nd to 3rd and from 5th to 6th..... Like I really had to put some muscle into it. 5th to 6th wasn't as bad as shifting up from 2nd but still kind of sticky. No issues shifting down.

Previously to this, I had an issue where when I came to a stop in 1st or even 2nd gear, after shifting down from speeds up to 50mph, my bike wouldn't shift out of gear unless I lightly released the clutch to accelerate forward.

On top of this, my bike must of stalled at least 4 times today on the ride when stopped in gear at red lights.

Ive read about the pin on the shift star breaking when dropping the KLX on its left side. Even more, I've read that the 09 specifically has issues with its shift star. Could this be the issue with my 09 KLX?

Are my two issues connected? Or is the stalling issue separate from the shift star issue?

Thanks ahead of time

This is a common problem if the shifter gets a hard impact.

This shows the offending pin as well as the shifter star. It's a simple job, just make sure that the collared washer that fits over the shift shaft is seated into the pawl before tightening the cover. If it doesn't want to sit flush with the case, DON'T tighten it-you will crack the cover.

Still having issues with it stalling when im sitting in idle at 1000rpm. Ill have keep rev'd above 2000rpm to keep it from dying.
Thinking maybe its my battery? or a fuse ..... because I noticed the time on the clock had changed after it died. Any tips?

I'm thinking carb, if you have one. When a fuse goes, it is gone, no maybe, buts or otherwise. If the battery is starting the bike, that probably isn't it. Now, you may have a loose connection somewhere.

Would you be open to sharing your phone number via private message? I just shot a 2 min iphone vid to help diagnose the issue. I can send it to you? Or anyone who is willing to help.

Thanks
