650 shifter works, but is longer and sticks out a bit more from the case. The angle also ends up a little different as the splines won't let you get it to the same spot as the stock one. I like it much better for trails.

I put the msr 650 shifter in the vice and bent it a little so it didn't stick out so far from the case. I like it.

make sure you are buying a lever for a 650L and not any other honda 650.

I researched this lever many months ago & never got round to ordering it!

This is the item, I pretty sure it's the correct one. MSR BLACK XR650L 93-01 part number:07-0707
