Is that pdf just the supplement or is it the complete manual? Also is it for an 06-08 or 09?

Its the manual for all models up to 07, with the 300R supplement.
It's good for about 90% of the 09 model.

I got it but it doesn't list the klx250s by name... does it have another name, like in another country or something? They look reeeaaallly close... I have the 2006 49 state United States model if that helps (not the California)

The US/Canada KLX250S is a KLX250H6F...may be specifically the 2006 model. KLX250 and D-Tracker are covered in the same manuals. There were (I think) a total of three. One covers the generic KLX250 and the Service Manual Supplement has info on the other models, if I remember correctly. (books are in another room and I am lazy)

I just downloaded the file. Looks good so far. 299 pages and only $6.95. not bad. I'm going to read through it this morning and comment on it later. So far it looks like this manual only covers KLX250 D and E models made in the mid 90's. Most of what I'm seeing can be applied to the newer bikes but even the forks in this manual are non-USD types. This manual is outdated but for $7 you get a good general reference guide. I guess you get what you pay for.

Correction: 2 manuals (I also bought an owners manual).

The Service Manual covers the 1993 KLX250D1 & E1, 1994 D2, E2, and G1, 1995 D3, E3, and G2, and 1996 D4 as well as stuff common to the ones covered in the Supplement: 1999 KLX250-H2 & J2, 2001 H3 & J4, 2002 H4, 2003 H5, 2004 H6, 2005 H7, 2007 H6F, and 2007 H7F.

The Supplement is roughly half the thickness of the Service Manual.

As an example of the difference: the torque spec for the front caliper bolts in the Service Manual is 18 ft-lbs. In the Supplement it's 25 ft-lbs. Wiring for the H6F is also different from previous models.
