would there be much of a difference and how much you reckon? i was at the cycle shop the other day looking at an 07. i was considering my 30inch inseam and it occured to me that if you put a more street oriented tire on there that it would lower it and make it a little easier to manage while i got my sea legs back. as you can tell the height tends to make me nervous.
what you think?
thanks.

Heck, I only have a 28 inch inseam[sm=insomnia.gif]. I just got an 09 KLX 250S and took my first ever highway ride today. You should be ok with a 30 inch inseam. I know this didn't answer your question[sm=sorry.gif]

I'm 5'7", 32" inseam. I had an 85 KLR 250for years, I bought a 07 klx250s this february, both are about the same height. The height is managable, and it serves a purpose (riding over stuff in the woods and sucking up landings) I wouldn't trade it away for flat footing it at a stoplight. When I stop I can touch with the ball of my foot, but only on one side. Everybodys different, but it works for me.
Good luck.
P.S. search for lowering links on here, an option if your intent on lowering the bike. Honestly I think you will get used to the height though.

30" inseam here. Two years ago when I first got the klx I was a little concerned about the seat height.....after just a few weeks it was a non-issue.
BTW .... I have since put raising links on her and a high seat from guts racing. In very short order (pun intended) you will think the seat needs to be higher....especially after riding a friend's 37" high dirt bike.

I'm 6-1 and the klx is great, in fact I actually wish it was 2 inches taller. My wife's 2006 XT on the other hand is pretty short for me, although its fun on the gravel roads, I can drift that baby around the corners likea rock star.
