Default Scotts Performance shark fin for 2009+ KLX250s

I emailed Scotts Performance about a rear brake disc shark fin for the 2009 and up KLX250s and sf. They don't have one, but are considering making one for our bikes. If you are interested, please email them from the "email us" link at the top of their website: Scotts Performance Products.

Here's the shark fin for the KLX300 and 2006-2007 KLX250s (which won't fit the 2009+ models!)

A new rotor is $170 from Ron Ayers. Plus you might trash your pads and possibly the caliper. And have to walk out of the woods...

I was going to say , I think I have noticed non OEM rotors for $70 ???
You still have to walk out of the woods though.

Nah, I'd pull the rear wheel and remove the brake pads. If that wasn't enough clearance, I'd tie the rear caliper up out of the way. I'd just use the engine for rear-wheel braking. Might not even ruin a trip if it happened. Still, I'd LOVE to get an affordable fin. At 70.00, it might make more sense to buy one and keep it in my tool bag...just change it out if it ding it too hard.
