I called Scott Performance directly and spoke to a rep there. He stated that they do not make a skid plate specifically for the KLX250S but has been getting floods of calls for skids for this bike. I told him that Hyperperformance is selling Scott skid plates for the KLX250S. His answer is it must be the skid plate made for the old '94-'96 KLX250 which then became the current KLX300R. He could not verify either way whether the skid plate would fit or not. I asked him if the skid plate is the wraparound like the one in the photo and he said indeed it is, and it would protect the water pump.
So my question is this. Is Hyperperformance correct in stating that this skid plate will fir the KLX250S? Does anyone know? This is pretty much the ideal size skid plate for me and the price is right so should I go ahead and trust Hyperformance that it will fit the KLX250S and order it? Does anyone know if it will fit or not?

I think that its a bit big for my riding style but if you like it go for it..... I bought this one from the kawi dealer.... Small but affective....

GT, that's what I was gonna get initially and when I went on the Kawi website, it said it was sold out! That's why I started to look aftermarket.

Well the Kawasaki skid plate for the KLX250S that is on backorder has the exact part number as the skid plate for the KLX300R which obviously is on backorder also. So it is safe to assume the Scott skidplate will fit the KLX250S.
